I forgot my keys

Thank you so much for your birthday messages 💕💕💕 It was a fun birthday! The family Osses made me tacos for my birthday! So so yummyyy. Nothing beats Mexican street tacos but still it was yummy. My companion got PopRocks mailed to her from her fam, so we brought them to my birthday dinner and made all the latinos try it for the first time. They were all super weirded out that a candy can do that. Thank goodness for food chemist William A. Mitchell for accidentally creating pop rocks in 1956. It was super funny. We still have our couch We found out that the couch is actually from a member! Not from the street! The guy forgot to come pick it up so we still got it for now. Intercambios I basically forgot my keys in my house and was locked out of the door but locked in the front gate. So we were stuck in the patio. With a long pole and a hook on the end, we made it out. Lol. Saw my favorite family here. Why are they my favorites? Because we are their favorites!! The daughter always...

We need to have the bad in order to have the good

Those words have been in my head a lot this week. Every day has been pretty hard with the work so far. There have been multiple doors that we knock and then they quickly turn off their lights. Or they close their curtains fast. Or they open the door, look at us, then quickly close it. Pretty blunt rejections ill say. Every time it happens I turn around and my jaw drops like this 😧. Its kind of hard at times to feel a sense of belonging in this harder area.  Well, this week there were 3 big spiritual experiences that I would like to share with you all. -- Last Monday, It was a cloudy cold day and we traveled a ton for PDAY. We made it back to our town very late due to travel issues. It was an L. We went out to knock our doors. In the mission we need to stay out in the streets until 9:30pm then you can go home. Well it was 9:26 and after lots of rejection and cold we were considering to start walking home and just go to bed.  Well, we turned around and there was a house with li...

Couch

I got transfered!!  You all! I moved for the first time ever and now am up in Valle Grande! Its north of Quilicura. I left hermana Puchi and am now with my new companion Hermana Chappell. We are doing a "pink wash" which means before us there were elders there serving. So all of the people that the elders taught are now ours. The load of laundry they left in the washer is now ours! And the random couch they got from the side of the road is now ours! Hermana Chappell (from Spanish Fork, Utah) and I are building this place from the ground up. Before us, lets just say... there wasn't a lot of working before us. But its good because we can see the trust God and the mission president has in us. We are going to grow the Valle Grande ward!! The couch Unlike any other missionaries, we have a couch in our house. The elders took it off the road and we have it. Honeslty didnt want to know it was from the road but... its okay. The president already knows about it and is going to co...

Taken for granted

Hey hey hey everyone. Its me coming at you through my moms email adress becuase the last 5 hours of my PDAY I had no Wifi! Unfortunately couldnt talk a ton with others today but it was nice to be in the moment for sure. I find out transfer news tomorrow and will see where im going wednesday! Sofar I have spent my whole mission in Santiago Zapadores. This ward has become my family so this sunday was very bittersweet. I was able to bare my testimony alongside two of my friends and one of my converts. It was so so sweet hearing the strong testimonies of those I have taught in my time here. My companion also bore a really beautiful heartfelt testimony and it helped me feel peace that I will leave this ward in great hands. There was a night my comp and I knocked a ton of doors and were slowly going crazy in this winter coldness. I made a funny edit of us tap dancing outside of each door. I am fully legal in Chile now! I have an ID and everything! All the chapels here have HUGE gates. ...
