I'm having so much fun out here! I have been on my mission for 5 months now! I had the opportunity to meet one of the 12 apostles! Elder Gary E. Stevenson came to speak to my whole mission. He told us that he sprained his hand from "balling with with my grandkids. Elder Bednar said that you all would get a kick out of that story". I learned a lot, but something I really took away from the experience was the feelings I felt. I felt so so much unignorable joy in my heart just from being in his presence. The holy spirit was very close to everyone. This gospel is true. Lots of happy tears were shed. I wonder how it will feel to meet Jesus one day. I got to baptize my convert's daughter! Her name is Macarena. She is so funny and always calls me by my first name Ella haha. She comes to church every Sunday and is a diligent member of the church!! I taught the elders that I ward share with what a "hood rat" is. They both only know Spanish so I translated it to ...

Dog Party

We got invited to a birthday party. It was for one of the member's dogs. All the dogs had little dresses on haha. I made strawberry jam from scratch! Bought a ton of strawberries then made enough to share with some friends at Zone conference. Missionary by day, jam cooker by night. My companion's grandma knitted little hoodies for us to wear in the cold. Now every door we knock says "why are you out in the cold??" Winter is almost here! I received my cousin's wedding invite in the mail this week! They got married a month ago but it was the thought that counts. Thanks Josh and Laura. I also got some other cutie letters. They made me very very happy. My mission president is very loud. On the way out from our zone conference he yelled "HERMANA ELLA GRACE DELHOYO. I hope you are feeling better" lol. He's awesome. Videos and photos in my album! https://photos.app.goo.gl/sUkNAQdgt7LF4myaA Email me!  ella.delhoyo@missionary.org Mail me?! MarĂa Graham 312 ...

In my mission we recieve transfer news the day before we are supposed to leave. We only get to find out which person in the companionship is leaving and who is staying. As the hours went by on news day neither me nor my companion knew if we were leaving or staying. So, we spent the whole day anxiously waiting for the text from our leaders and saying "possible" goodbyes to the ward members and our friends. Now I have a lot of "goodbye" selfies with people. We got the news at 6:30pm that night.  Im staying in Zapadores Chile with Hermana Puchi for 6 more weeks. This is awesome news! Especially since sickness ruined us last transfer. Its like we have a new fresh start and fresh transfer to work hard.   What is the best way to start out the transfer? Going to the ER! The whole situation was so drama. Took an uber, got placed in a wheelchair and little hospital robe, got an MRI scan then waited 3 hours to find out I still have a sinus infection. The same one from a month...
