I have a new companion! Her name is Hermana Puchi and she is from chile! That means very fast spanish. She also knows really great english so thats a blessing. I got very sick this week from eating bad lettuce. I had to stay home from the work! Boo! Missed my moms hugs, but Ill get those soon enough. Im now leading my companion because I know our area better. Its quite the switch up but Its cool to see all I am capable of! After work on our way home for the night we walked through El Persa! A guy walked up holding two bushes and said "msjfnrowkdnsñ" (none of us understood) Its not that funny now that im writing it out but it was funny in the moment. Just a guy holding two bushes. Abuela

Image
We live in the guest house of a lovely older lady. I call her abuela. Never to her face, just to my comp. She is catholic but has housed missionaries for years. Anyways, we told the elders in our sector that she is catholic but that they should try to knock her door and chat. They did. This is what abuela told us after, "Boy missionaries came to my door and asked if I wanted to hear a message about Christ. I told them 'I have Christ!! And I have missionaries in the back of my house too!! I dont need anything more thank you!' It was so odd. I thought they would know you girls live here." We laughed and pretended to not know a thing about the elders knocking her door. Was it specifically a lie? No. We just didnt contribute to the conversation and laughed it off. I love abuela.  I love my mission. I love Christ. 3 Nephi 19 21 Father, I pray thee that thou wilt give the Holy Ghost unto all them that shall believe in their words

"Alo! Somos las misioneras!" Nothing. Like normal, you walk away but see a boy in the window watching you. Out of embarrasment of getting caught he swiftly closes the blinds. We laugh. After knocking the whole third floor, we move on to the second floor. We glance one last time at the yellow door and see the boy shut the door fast.  "Does he know that we can see him?" We keep going. Shouting, getting no response to most of the doors. You then look back at the yellow door. It is way at the top of the third floor. You see him RUN back into his apartment and close the door. Is this for real? He thinks we cant see him PEEPING while we knock doors. So we make a plan to pretend not to see him and then say "hola!" So he will talk to us. "3...2...
