Proposals

 Hola todos!

I got proposed to twice. One time went like this.

"How do i get closer to God?"
"Go to church! Its down the road every Sunday at nine am!"
"Okay. I want to marry one of you."

Real slick.

I was able to serve in the city for a day! In the mission we have one day every transfer where you get to switch companions. I was sent to the city with Hermana Crespo from Bolivia. We visited this home that housed about 20 people. Five little boys were playing soccer in the "house". I use quotes because there wasn't a roof in this section of the house. Well they allll started calling me "tia tia tia!" And I said "ay! Call me Hermana" and they all said "okay okay."

Ten mins later they started calling me "ella ella!" Exactly how my first name sounds.... huhhh?? Weird because they don't know my first name! Well I guess these kids call women "ella" because shortly later I heard them call a mother that.
If you know a little spanish you would know that "ella" is the pronoun for "she" but in spanish its pronounced "eya". Took me very off guard but I still showed them my trash soccer skills.

Another dog story

I named this one Cuchara (spoon). He followed us ALL the way across town to our member lunch. He tried to come eat lunch with us. Anyways we ate our whole lunch and shared our message as usual. About an hour and a half later we leave the house and Cuchara was right outside the gate waiting for us! Good dog. We walked back 20 mins to our apartment with Cuchara right behind us. Well we had to say bye and we did our studies for two hours. I looked out of our 5 story high balcony and Cuchara was STILL waiting anxiously for us to finish studying!! By the time we left he finally had left us. I felt sad loosing our new street dog. WELL FLASH FORWARD TO YESTERDAY! We had a lesson with an inactive member and as soon as he opens his gate CUCHARA RUNS RIGHT UP TO US!! With his half cut off ear and dirty black and white fur he jumped up on us so happy. We didnt explain anything to the owner but was a special reunion. My heart is at peace knowing Cuchara has a good home and isnt a lonely street dog.

My mission has been the most fun ever. I feel so so blessed and so joyful every day to serve! Honestly. Being here (especially with is turning to fall now) has been lifechanging and eye opening!

I hope you all are thankful for your life here on Earth and live everyday grateful.
