Sunshine

There is sunshine in my soul today

This week didn't have a ton of sunshine literally, it had a lot of rain. But. I FELT the sunshine and light of God. 

We were walking one way to knock doors in a neighborhood and I felt the strongest impression to turn around. I didnt listen at first and we crossed two cross walks and were on our way. I (kind of embarrassingly) asked my comp if we can turn around and she said "por supuesto". We went back and knocked the door. It was an inactive member of 20 years!! She has had zero contact with missionaries for all the time she's lived in her house so we are the first! Her daughter (12 yrs old) LOVES when we come over and teach her. She always squeels 

"EEEEEEE HERMANAS!!"

when we go to her house. I squeel with her of course. This week we were able to invite her to be baptized. She said yes 🥹
Her mom already is excited to get her a dress, make invites, and plan a little after party for her daughter. They are sunshine. There is sunshine in their souls. 

They drove us to church yesterday and the ward loves them both!!

I also became friends with (what I call) the "emo girls". With all respect of course. One of the girls has a mom who is inactive in the church.  She always has us over to learn more gospel topics. The emo girls sat down to listen once and we clicked real fast. Thank goodness for the time I used to wear big black eyeliner almost every day in high school. Lol just kidding just kidding. They wouldn't stop laughing at my name so I can poke a little fun at them.

Anyways, we invited them to church and 4 of them came!! They all walked in and sat next to us. They went to the classes and learned more about the Gospel. I showed them the baptismal font too!!

Something sad,
Im getting a hole in my shoes. Boo.

Death by cats

I ate lunch at a sister's house! She had 5 cats and two dogs. She made pizzas for us by hand, really really yummy. But I think the pizzas had cat dander in it... annnd Im allergic to cats. so before I knew it I began sneezing sniffling and my lungs began to swell. I should have known that when my companion was sniffling too it would be bad. Later that day I went to a house with six cats. Yippee. At least the lessons went well and they felt loved. Proposals

  Hola todos! I got proposed to twice. One time went like this. "How do i get closer to God?"  "Go to church! Its down the road every Sunday at nine am!" "Okay. I want to marry one of you." Real slick. I was able to serve in the city for a day! In the mission we have one day every transfer where you get to switch companions. I was sent to the city with Hermana Crespo from Bolivia. We visited this home that housed about 20 people. Five little boys were playing soccer in the "house". I use quotes because there wasn't a roof in this section of the house. Well they allll started calling me "tia tia tia!" And I said "ay! Call me Hermana" and they all said "okay okay."       Ten mins later they started calling me "ella ella!" Exactly how my first name sounds.... huhhh?? Weird because they don't know my first name! Well I guess these kids call women "ella" because shortly later I heard them call ...

Thats a name of a person we tried to find this week. Ive been saying it nonstop in my head. Water in the ceilings.. condensation on the walls.. yup. The elders left the baptismal font running hot water all week after their baptism last sunday. They said that a good chunk of the mission is dealing with baptismal font problems so yay! Marked off my first one this week! Our friend who is 12 couldnt come to church because her ride canceled on us. I was praying while the church service was starting and Dayis just walks in and sits with us. She said she walked herself to an hermanas house, knocked the door, and made her take her to church. HAHAAA I LOVE GOD!! We baptized my friend Loreto yesterday! The dog we named Comida is always in town and sometimes follows us. Well these two little 7 year old girls run around this apartment complex and love Comida. Comida ran away, and the little girls started screaming "COMIDAAAA".
