Sleepovers and milanessa

We had a sleepover! In reward of completing our weekly goals me and my comp (who definitely don't sleep in the same room every night) lugged both of our mattresses downstairs and slept there for fun! We did face masks and then slept. A little lame on the sleepover part but we were so tired from the day of work already. Definitely was a change in routine which was fun. 10/10 recommend to anyone who wants to be spontaneous.


We ate a lot of Argentinian food this week. I had 3 days of milanessa. Milanessa is a thin peice of meat breaded and fried. (A glorified chicken nugget). Its really yummy and funny to see how worshipped it is. 

We were walking home for the day and a random lady on the sidewalk goes "Hermanas!!" And opens up for a hug and besito.

Normally I would be like "uhhhh" but Im a missionary now so okay! She talks to us a bit then invites us into her house full of Haitians. We go in. She tells us she is a member and shows us her Relief Society group chat. Good enough proof for me. She then gets handed about 500 dollars in cash and we leave. So sus.

She is a member from another stake but rents out a house here in my sector. It was just all really random. She told one of the men "These are the mormons. They are awesome, they will come and teach you about God. Give them your number. Your catholic right? Well the mormon church is better listen to them".

 We all laughed then went along with our night. She bought us dinner then drove us home. I love random interactions.

In chile yesterday was Kids Day. Similar to Fathers Day and Mothers Day. All the kids get presents and go play outside. Happy kids day to all the kiddos.

One day on our forty min walk home from a lesson i had my companion explain a TON of history of the church. I learned a lot. Now I feel that I better understand who Christ is and his purpose. I encourage all of you to study scripture, speeches, and listen more. Learn about what you love and believe in!

Death by cats

I ate lunch at a sister's house! She had 5 cats and two dogs. She made pizzas for us by hand, really really yummy. But I think the pizzas had cat dander in it... annnd Im allergic to cats. so before I knew it I began sneezing sniffling and my lungs began to swell. I should have known that when my companion was sniffling too it would be bad. Later that day I went to a house with six cats. Yippee. At least the lessons went well and they felt loved. Im teaching a pregnant lady. She had her baby yesterday! Super cool and super fun text to receive. We were teaching Eduardo for a while. In our last lesson he said at the end "I don't want to take anymore lessons from you.. but here are some cookies" (so we dont hate him I'm assuming) it was kinda funny but also pretty sad.  But we got break up cookies! Proposals

  Hola todos! I got proposed to twice. One time went like this. "How do i get closer to God?"  "Go to church! Its down the road every Sunday at nine am!" "Okay. I want to marry one of you." Real slick. I was able to serve in the city for a day! In the mission we have one day every transfer where you get to switch companions. I was sent to the city with Hermana Crespo from Bolivia. We visited this home that housed about 20 people. Five little boys were playing soccer in the "house". I use quotes because there wasn't a roof in this section of the house. Well they allll started calling me "tia tia tia!" And I said "ay! Call me Hermana" and they all said "okay okay."       Ten mins later they started calling me "ella ella!" Exactly how my first name sounds.... huhhh?? Weird because they don't know my first name! Well I guess these kids call women "ella" because shortly later I heard them call ...

Thats a name of a person we tried to find this week. Ive been saying it nonstop in my head. Water in the ceilings.. condensation on the walls.. yup. The elders left the baptismal font running hot water all week after their baptism last sunday. They said that a good chunk of the mission is dealing with baptismal font problems so yay! Marked off my first one this week! Our friend who is 12 couldnt come to church because her ride canceled on us. I was praying while the church service was starting and Dayis just walks in and sits with us. She said she walked herself to an hermanas house, knocked the door, and made her take her to church. HAHAAA I LOVE GOD!! We baptized my friend Loreto yesterday! The dog we named Comida is always in town and sometimes follows us. Well these two little 7 year old girls run around this apartment complex and love Comida. Comida ran away, and the little girls started screaming "COMIDAAAA".
