Push week, no dilly dallying

 I can fold a fitted sheet now. Holy Hannah! (Yes you Hannah Carpenter) 

In the training center we do a service job every Thursday somewhere on campus. This week we did the laundry room! That means folding billions of sheets. Yes yes you heard correctly, I can fold a fitted sheet now. Once you have all the sheets folded, you stuff it into a tiny pillow case and chuck it across the room so that the other missionaries can store it away. All of my friends decided to "nuke them". Instead of continually throwing one by one we loaded up all of them and chucked them all at the same time. It was really funny.

There is so much hype around Ultimate Frisbee here. If you dont know, its like football frisbee. I was uniterested in playing till my district said "It would be so much more fun if you joined. You have to play with us". So duh I played. And it was so fun! Im hoping to master it by the end of my time here so I can play against my hometown friends one day.

I relearned how to jump rope. I can do a cross rope now.

In class if we speak any English our teacher Hermana Vargas makes us dance Head shoulders knees and toes aka Cabeza, cara, hombros, pies. We do it at three 3x speed. There is a video on my Google album. Makes me chuckle.

During a 10 min break in class we played stick circle. Elder clifford draws a two circles with his waterbottle on the floor and we try to throw a stick in the circle. We got in trouble because no games allowed during class breaks. It was still fun though.

We attended the temple today! Being able to go to the temple is such a special opportunity to me. We are able to pray, feel the Holy Spirit and receive revelation from God. Going to a temple in Mexico is really awesome because everything and everyone inside uses spanish. One lady tried speaking english to me and it was not the best. But then she said in spanish "its okay because your spanish is bad too"

Anyways, this week was fun! I love being a missionary and my district is so much fun. We always talk about how lucky we are to have such a loving Christ centered district. I love each of them and get closer to them every day. So much support and kindness thanks to the influence of our Heavenly Father. I feel Gods blessings every single day.

Spiritual Thought
Prayer is real. My companion has shown me how important prayer is to her and it has grown my respect for prayer so much. In any moment of trial, sickness, bad news from a friend, we pray together. I want to invite you to pray. Weather its the first time or not a simple converstation to God will bring peace. I testify God can calm any storm in my heart, and he has.

I ate lunch at a sister's house! She had 5 cats and two dogs. She made pizzas for us by hand, really really yummy. But I think the pizzas had cat dander in it... annnd Im allergic to cats. so before I knew it I began sneezing sniffling and my lungs began to swell. I should have known that when my companion was sniffling too it would be bad. Later that day I went to a house with six cats. Yippee. At least the lessons went well and they felt loved. Proposals

  Hola todos! I got proposed to twice. One time went like this. "How do i get closer to God?"  "Go to church! Its down the road every Sunday at nine am!" "Okay. I want to marry one of you." Real slick. I was able to serve in the city for a day! In the mission we have one day every transfer where you get to switch companions. I was sent to the city with Hermana Crespo from Bolivia. We visited this home that housed about 20 people. Five little boys were playing soccer in the "house". I use quotes because there wasn't a roof in this section of the house. Well they allll started calling me "tia tia tia!" And I said "ay! Call me Hermana" and they all said "okay okay."       Ten mins later they started calling me "ella ella!" Exactly how my first name sounds.... huhhh?? Weird because they don't know my first name! Well I guess these kids call women "ella" because shortly later I heard them call ...

Thats a name of a person we tried to find this week. Ive been saying it nonstop in my head. Water in the ceilings.. condensation on the walls.. yup. The elders left the baptismal font running hot water all week after their baptism last sunday. They said that a good chunk of the mission is dealing with baptismal font problems so yay! Marked off my first one this week! Our friend who is 12 couldnt come to church because her ride canceled on us. I was praying while the church service was starting and Dayis just walks in and sits with us. She said she walked herself to an hermanas house, knocked the door, and made her take her to church. HAHAAA I LOVE GOD!! We baptized my friend Loreto yesterday! The dog we named Comida is always in town and sometimes follows us. Well these two little 7 year old girls run around this apartment complex and love Comida. Comida ran away, and the little girls started screaming "COMIDAAAA".
