Hola! Apologies for the title, we learned how to say "my family exploded in a volcano" in spanish. We say it all the time now.

Another fun week in Mexico! All of the older missionaries have left the training center, my group is now the Senior class. Its my last week here until I fly to Santiago Chile next Tuesday. It is surreal that this time next week I will be out on the streets. I am the most excited.




 My district leader said that in their district council meetings they ask "so how is your district doing?" And he says every week "THEY'RE PERFECT" then the council says "WE KNOW". I got very lucky with my friends and we are sad to leave eachother for sure, but excited to bring people unto Christ.

Every person that I tell "I am serving Chile Santiago" they always say "well. Goodluck. Their spanish is crazy" so pray for me por favor.

Elder Woolstenhulme did a backwards griddy hopscotch. He also preformed for the new missionaries that came to the MTC this week! We all went and watched him preform to support. He plays the Cello! For those who dont know I took cello lessons for 4(?) years as a kid. I picked it up one time while he was practicing. Not as good as I used to be but it brought back memories. For our last sunday here my district and I will be singing a song in church. I will add a video to my google album.

 We went to the temple today it was so beautiful. There was a temple worker who was curious about my last name. "¿Hermana DelHoyo? Eres latina?" Haha. I told him mi Abuelo is from Uruguay. He was very facinated and then randomly said "you should honeymoon there since you will know spanish" lol all my friends were laughing because of how random it all was. Temples bring joy!

Presiding Bishop D. Todd Budge visited our campus to speak! My companion and I were sitting on a bench and Budge and Presidente of the CCM say "hello!" And we got to meet him. It was totally out of the blue to see him. This journalist got a photo of us shaking his hand. It was funny he said "keep an eye out for the church news site!"



Our teacher is so cute. Gonna miss her!

I am so thankful to be here and so excited to go to Chile next week!

Death by cats

I ate lunch at a sister's house! She had 5 cats and two dogs. She made pizzas for us by hand, really really yummy. But I think the pizzas had cat dander in it... annnd Im allergic to cats. so before I knew it I began sneezing sniffling and my lungs began to swell. I should have known that when my companion was sniffling too it would be bad. Later that day I went to a house with six cats. Yippee. At least the lessons went well and they felt loved. Im teaching a pregnant lady. She had her baby yesterday! Super cool and super fun text to receive. We were teaching Eduardo for a while. In our last lesson he said at the end "I don't want to take anymore lessons from you.. but here are some cookies" (so we dont hate him I'm assuming) it was kinda funny but also pretty sad.  But we got break up cookies! Proposals

  Hola todos! I got proposed to twice. One time went like this. "How do i get closer to God?"  "Go to church! Its down the road every Sunday at nine am!" "Okay. I want to marry one of you." Real slick. I was able to serve in the city for a day! In the mission we have one day every transfer where you get to switch companions. I was sent to the city with Hermana Crespo from Bolivia. We visited this home that housed about 20 people. Five little boys were playing soccer in the "house". I use quotes because there wasn't a roof in this section of the house. Well they allll started calling me "tia tia tia!" And I said "ay! Call me Hermana" and they all said "okay okay."       Ten mins later they started calling me "ella ella!" Exactly how my first name sounds.... huhhh?? Weird because they don't know my first name! Well I guess these kids call women "ella" because shortly later I heard them call ...

Thats a name of a person we tried to find this week. Ive been saying it nonstop in my head. Water in the ceilings.. condensation on the walls.. yup. The elders left the baptismal font running hot water all week after their baptism last sunday. They said that a good chunk of the mission is dealing with baptismal font problems so yay! Marked off my first one this week! Our friend who is 12 couldnt come to church because her ride canceled on us. I was praying while the church service was starting and Dayis just walks in and sits with us. She said she walked herself to an hermanas house, knocked the door, and made her take her to church. HAHAAA I LOVE GOD!! We baptized my friend Loreto yesterday! The dog we named Comida is always in town and sometimes follows us. Well these two little 7 year old girls run around this apartment complex and love Comida. Comida ran away, and the little girls started screaming "COMIDAAAA".
